Easy Digital Downloads Frontend Submissions: Create your own digital products marketplace

Creating an online marketplace where multiple authors, designers, musicians or developers can sell their digital creations is an incredibly scalable business model. Imagine having your own "ThemeForest" for templates, your own "Etsy" for graphic resources or your own "Bandcamp" for music, earning a commission for every sale made on your platform.

What does a digital marketplace need to be successful?

A digital product marketplace requires an impeccable experience, especially for your sellers. They need a simple and intuitive way to upload their products, manage their sales and track their earnings, all without having to be WordPress experts. The platform should automate the complex parts, such as commission sharing and file delivery, to make it an attractive business for creators.

Frontend Submissions: Your vendor platform, integrated in EDD

Frontend Submissions is the official and most powerful extension for Easy Digital Downloads (EDD) that transforms your store from a single vendor into a full-featured multi-vendor marketplace. It is the all-in-one solution that provides all the necessary machinery for you to manage a platform with hundreds of creators, in a professional and automated way.

Key functionalities for a professional digital marketplace

• Complete control panel for vendors (frontend): Its main function. Each registered seller gets his own dashboard on the public part of the website to upload his digital products, view his sales reports, manage his profile and communicate with customers.
• Automatic commission system: Define a commission rate for each sale (global or per seller) and the plugin will take care of calculating and recording the earnings for you and each of your sellers automatically.
• Product review and moderation: Always maintain the quality of your marketplace. You can configure the system so that you have to review and approve each product submitted by a seller before it is published in the store.
• Vendor profiles and ratings: It allows customers to rate sellers, building a system of trust and reputation that is vital to the credibility of your platform.
